Did you see CIO.com’s Economic Impact report today?
It’s not exactly all rosy if you read the fine print, but it’s definitely trending in the right direction: almost 40% of companies surveyed by CIO.com are trending towards increased IT spending. Compare this to just 14% who said the same thing last May, and it’s great news. And most of that increase – 43% — is coming from small companies, even better news for Colorado’s small business economy.
But before you break out the champagne, the fine print offers important detail. About 20% of CIO’s plan to increase spend in the next 6 months, 15% in 6-12 months, and a full two-thirds have no plans at this time. So while the trend is positive, it’s not quite yet money on the table…
